Attributes, skills, distinctions, Travellerized

  • Operate and Fix: Replaced Fix with three technical skills: Engineering, Systems, and Computer. The three skills are used to both Operate and Fix their respective technical devices.
    • Engineering covers Mechanical, Electrical, and Power systems
    • Systems covers ship systems and robotics
    • Computer covers information and computing systems, software, cybernetics, and AI
  • Changed Operate, limited to devices not covered by Engineering, Systems, and Computer. Generally, operating (but not fixing) lower-tech devices and heavy machinery.
  • P-Suit: Added Pressure Suit skill as a pair to FF Survive skill, covering environments where a pressure suit is required. Generally will be used with Endurance Attribute.

Computer Computer Separating Computer skill from FF Operate and Fix skills. Computer includes the information and intelligent systems in Robotics, Cybernetics, and AI.
Craft Cascade skill for making things.

Labor Generic skill used for physical effort.
Move Generic skill used for athletics, climbing, jumping etc.

Perform Cascade skill for the arts and showmanship.
Gun Cbt
Tactics
Shoot Use Dexterity + Shoot for gunfights. Add specific gun skills as a specialty. Tactics may be Fight if in a pre-gun context.
Sneak Concealment and moving without being noticed. Used vs. Notice.
Survival
Hunting
Recon
Swim
Survival Add this skill to any task in less than ideal environments not covered by P-Suit. Recon can be Notice.
Throw Use Dexterity + Fight if using a thrown melee weapon in combat, e.g. Sling or Javelin.
Medical
Xeno-Medicine
Treat Treat and Medical are interchangeable. Add Xeno-Medicine as specialty.
Forgery Trick Add specific skills as a specialty. Forgery may also be a Craft.
Jack-of-all-trades JOT is added as a Distinction
General Skills not in CT, and the Attributes typically associated

Social will be as described in FF, not Traveller's interpretation of social rank. Characters of high SC may add Gentry or Nobility Distinction (or other Distinction) to indicate social rank.

Any Skill may be paired with any Attribute if there is a narrative justification.
